In view of the emergencies caused by the natural disasters in September 2017 and the effects of the earthquakes in different states of the country, we showed our support and commitment to the Mexican society by rolling out the Somos Familia por México program. It consisted of enabling the voluntary contribution campaign of customers in more than 13,000 checkout counters of Soriana stores nationwide.

The contributions collected from September 21 to October 31, 2017 were doubled by Soriana, totaling $13,448,373.67 pesos.

Thanks to the participation of our customers and the work of our associates, this donation came to life with the construction and furnishing of houses, which we hope will support those who were affected last September.

57 houses were delivered, there will be a second stage of delivery, which will add a total of 112 houses, 42 are located here in Ixtepec and the remaining 70 in Juchitan, Oaxaca.

With these actions and under this aid program, Soriana Fundación reasserts its commitment to collaborate in the construction of a better society through its three axes: childhood, nutrition and support to the community.
